Opera: Mobile Web Page Views Exceed 5B in October

More on the Opera Software “State of the Mobile Web” report from earlier: the company said that Opera Mini mobile browser users viewed 5 billion mobile web pages in October, which marks a 326 percent year-over-year increase, according to FierceMobileContent.

Some more Opera Mini-related statistics from the report:

- Opera Mini monthly consumer user base grew to 21 million in October, which is a 10.6 percent month-over-month increase and 311 percent higher than the same period last year.

- Data transfers hit 73.7 million megabytes (compressed, via Opera’s servers), which marks a 490 percent growth rate since October 2007.

I’ve reviewed Opera Mini several times for PC Magazine; it’s a killer, free app that works on many devices and often beats a given handset’s built-in Web browser.
