As a media professional, you are probably traveling all over the place to get your story. You might have used Kayak to find a flight, American Airlines’ website to book it, Expedia to book your car and Priceline to book your hotel.
To avoid having to print out a bunch of emails or having to search your phone for emails on a bad connection at the airport, there is TripIt. TripIt is a free app that aims to manage all of your travel plans into one simple location. The app works by letting you create itineraries for each trip and save trips from various sites into one folder on the app.
Check it out: “When you receive a confirmation email from anywhere you book, simply forward it to email@example.com. TripIt instantly recognizes reservations from 3,000+ booking sites including cruises, restaurants, concerts and more. You can easily share trip plans with family or colleagues directly, or let Facebook and LinkedIn contacts know when and where you’re headed.”
The app will also serves as your own personal concierge adding maps, weather and directions to your plans. It will also suggest restaurants, and allow you to book entertainment.
