OxygenLive080210.bmpOxygen is making a major new media push, launching a new product, Oxygenlive TV, and relaunching its website, Oxygen.com.

Oxygenlive TV seeks to bring together new and traditional media. Based on the Oxygenlive.com co-viewing product, the product will take tweets and comments from Oxygen talent and fans, and feature them on-air during programs.

Oxygenlive TV will launch with the season premiere of “Bad Girls Club Miami” Tuesday, August 3 at 9 p.m.

The network is also relaunching its website, Oxygen.com, adding a full-episode video player, a new blog and more fully-featured social network integration.


The network also says it is working on an Oxyegenlive smartphone app.

“We are upping the ante with OxygenLive TV by engaging our young, tech savvy viewer with a multi-dimensional experience that is at the core of her viewing habits,” said Jason Klarman, President, Oxygen Media in a statement. “For an audience that is already so immersed in the shows they love, this is a unique opportunity for them to further connect, tune-in and take part in the live action and be part of the show.”

The announcement comes the same day that Oxygen sister network Bravo unveiled a co-viewing iPad app of its own.
