Hi ThinkMobile readers - all the great mobile apps, devices and reviews are now a part of mediabistro's SocialTimes.com. Thanks for reading!

Namco_Pac-Man.jpgNamco has announced that Pac-Man, one of the video gaming industry’s oldest franchises (28 years and counting), will be returning to mobile in a new multi-player format.

Namco Bandai Networks Europe is publishing the new title, which for the first time will allow players to wirelessly challenge up to three of their friends in a re-mastered version of the arcade classic. The connections occur over Bluetooth, and each player has a “fog of war” so that they can only see what’s happening nearby within the four mazes. They can also compare scores with other players on the same carrier.

Previous mobile versions of Pac-Man have totaled over five million sales to date, the company said in a statement. The new version is available immediately across all major UK operators. We’ll now return you to your memories of standing on milk crates to play the original in a dingy arcade. (Or maybe that’s just us.)
