PadDock 10 iPad Dock

If you are looking for a high quality dock to hold your iPad, you may want to take a look at the PadDock 10 from SMK Electronics. When the iPad is inserted in the dock it looks like an LCD monitor. The dock has built-in stereo speakers that point backwards from the iPad’s screen. The speaker design is intended to reflect the sound off a nearby wall to provide what SMK Electronics claims will be a fuller sound. There is a hardware volume control wheel so that you can easily adjust the audio while watching a movie from Netflix. The PadDock can rotate the iPad 360 degrees and tilt it to provide a better viewing angle. You can charge and sync the iPad while it is in the dock, and if the cable is plugged into a computer you can control whether the iPad is charging or syncing by flipping a switch.

At $99.99 the PadDock 10 is definitely a premium iPad dock, though it includes several features that Apple’s $29.99 minimalist dock does not have. SME Electronics says the PadDock will be available in November, in time for the holiday shopping season.
