The Palm Pre is an interesting mobile critter. People I know who have it seem to be pretty happy with the phone. And, quite honestly, I see a lot more of this phone in the “real world” that I would expect from a phone that is reportedly not selling very well. However, we continue to see reports that Pre sales are not setting the world on fire. And, I don’t seem to recall reading about any “killer apps” for it so far.
If the Pre needs “killer” appls, Palm appears to have named its new development system appropriate – Ares (God of War)…

This new development environment runs completely in a browser. This should make Google with its Chrome OS initiative happy.
