Hi ThinkMobile readers - all the great mobile apps, devices and reviews are now a part of mediabistro's SocialTimes.com. Thanks for reading!

You probably saw a bunch of articles and blog items about Pangea Software abandoning Mac game development in favor of building iPhone games last week. This item from the Washington Post was a typical headline that was repeated by many people (including me!)…

mocoNews – Apple Games Developer Pangea Ditches Mac For iPhone

Here’s the problem with this news that was considered somewhat sensational: It is not true. I spoke with Pangea Software founder and CEO Brian Greenstone yesterday and you can hear him setting the record straight about this matter in the MobileViews Podcast embedded above. Brian told me that he stopped Mac game development two or three years ago to focus on writing utilities and photographic software.

The iPhone rekindled his interest in game development and he has ported over the games he developed for the Mac as well as two new games for the iPhone.

The podcast is about 30 minutes long and Brian provides a lot of good information and insight including advice to prospective iPhone app developers.
