Paramount Pictures plans to develop a series of mobile comics based on films from its catalog, according to MocoNews. The first mobile comic set set for release is Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, a movie based on a series of books by Louise Rennison.
The report said that all of the comics will be co-developed with Omnitoons in a Manga style for three different formats: “single-panel comics,” “four screens per comic,” and “short stories” with more than 20 screens per episode.
Currently, you can view the comics in both SMS and J2ME formats in the United States, Australia, Europe and India, and will soon be made available for download on carrier decks and content resellers, according to the article. Paramount Mobile Entertainment formed back in February, and currently offers games, ringtones, and wallpapers based on movies such as Iron Man and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
