With the Passover Seder just under two weeks away, Jews around the globe are preparing to don their yarmulkes, eat gefilte fish and hide the Afikomen.  And social media is preparing for the Seder as well with a fun new video called ‘Google Exodus’, which tells the story of Passover through CNN.com, Google Maps, Facebook, Skype, Gmail, Amazon and more.

‘Google Exodus’ was produced by AISH.com, a one-stop-shop for everything about Judaism.  It clearly takes its inspiration from previous video campaigns, like ‘The Digital Story Of The Nativity’, which told the Christmas story through social media and Google’s 2010 Super Bowl commercial, which told a love story via Google.

This video begins with Moses, aka “BasketBaby”, logging in to his computer and telling the complete story of Passover through social media and web news sources.  He reads on CNN that Pharaoh has enslaved the Jews, asks Yahoo Answers about the burning bush, chats with God on Skype, searches Google for “awesome plagues,” writes “Last chance to let my people go!” on Pharaoh’s Facebook wall, and more.  All the while, a jazzy variation of the popular Passover song, ‘Dayenu,’ plays in the background.

Check out the video below and let us know what you think.  How do you think it compares to other videos of its kind?
