If you watch much long-form online video content then you know it can be annoying to try and pause a video and save it for later. I find myself yelling “Nooo!” as I accidentally close the browser or shut down my computer and lose the page with my paused video all too often. Pause for Later aims to solve this problem with a nifty little multi-browser extension that lets you pause any video from YouTube, Vimeo or Hulu in a click and save it for later.
Pause for Later is available for Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera as well as on iOS and Android devices. You can pause videos anywhere and resume them later at anytime.
To watch the videos that you’ve paused, just login to your account at for your list of paused videos (called “My Pauses”). You can choose to watch now, mark videos as watched, start again from the beginning of a video, and you even make your pauses public, which hints at the possibility of more social features coming soon.
