Peanut Labs was one of the first CPA and survey providers in the social gaming space, and yesterday it was announced that they were acquired by e-Rewards (which is now named Research Now). What does this mean for developers and advertisers in the space? We take a look below:
It’s all about surveys for Peanut Labs from now on. By partnering with Research Now, who also have an inventory of surveys of their own, Peanut Labs will now be offering those to all their clients in the social gaming space, and have even hinted that they’ll be working directly with Facebook to provide these surveys as a method to gain Facebook Credits.
Peanut Labs has announced that their CPA campaigns will still continue, but PL will no longer be taking a small cut of the CPA deals as revenue. This means that advertisers should be able to get better deals and publishers will get better profits. Inside Facebook theorizes that this is part a strategy to recruit new advertisers and publishers to their service so that they begin to use PL for surveys.
This makes for a pretty sweet deal for existing Peanut Labs customers. We’ll keep you posted on any developments. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
