As we first reported last month, Playboy announced the official debut of Interns, a new digital series developed, shot, and produced specifically for the mobile Web.
As FierceMobileContent reports, Interns showcases the behind-the-scenes world of Playboy Enterprises’ Fifth Avenue publishing headquarters “as seen through the eyes of three very lucky (and presumably randy) college students.”
The show will be available via Playboy’s WAP and iPhone sites as well as across its mobile Playboy Audience Network (mPAN), which includes Quattro Wireless, mywaves, and Zannel. The report said that several North American carriers also plan to roll out Interns mobisodes in 2009, along with other networks in Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America.
Swan Haus Media, the company producing the series, will deliver 90-second versions of regular four-minute online episodes, designed specifically for mobile.
