Podcast: Authors Fight Amazon’s Return Policy on Change.org

On today’s social media edition of the Morning Media Menu, GalleyCat editor Jason Boog talked about the group of nearly 2,000 people who have signed a petition on Change.org asking Amazon to change its policy about returning eBooks.

Currently, Kindle users have seven days to return a book and receive a refund. Petitioners say that this policy gives readers enough time to read their books for free, which cuts into their profits. They also feel that the trial period is unnecessary considering that Amazon’s  ”Search Inside the Book” feature allows readers to sample up to three chapters before they make a purchase.

We also talked about the best April Fools’ jokes we saw this year on social networks and some new statistics from GetGlue on the response to AMC’s Zombie thriller, “The Walking Dead.”
