Pope Benedict XVI to Send SMS Messages of Encouragement

Pope_Text_Engadget.jpgLest you thought the Vatican wasn’t tech savvy, Engadget is reporting that as part of World Youth Day, Pope Benedict XVI will begin sending texts of encouragement to pilgrims who have signed up to receive them with Telstra (Australia’s big carrier).

The report said that four large prayer walls have been erected at the Sydney Opera House, the Domain, Darling Harbour and Randwick Racecourse in Australia. There, subscribers will be able to send text messages that everyone will see on the walls. The first message sent out? “Young friend, God and his people expect much from u because u have within you the Fathers supreme gift: the Spirit of Jesus – BXVI.”
