Publicis Group inked a major deal with AOL, Google/DoubleClick, Microsoft and Yahoo to essentially create a huge online ad network using the four ad-serving systems. Yahoo scored an extra hit for mobile advertising as well.
MocoNews reports that, for the mobile ads, Publicis will integrate its media buying systems with Yahoo’s ad management platform. In addition, the deal calls for Phonevalley, Publicis’ mobile marketing agency, to use Yahoo’s Blueprint mobile application development platform.
Blueprint, part of the Yahoo Go mobile widget platform, will make it possible for Publicis clients to create a mobile campaign that will work across handsets and carriers.
