I can’t seem to find a 720×480 video resolution setting on my Droid’s video recorder. But, according to Qik, its beta release for the Droid supports that relatively high resolution (compared to the usual 640×480 or lower resolution typically seen in smartphone video recordings)…

Droid does Qik!

I sent email to droidbeta@qik.com asking to participate in the beta program. If I get a test copy, you’ll see the results here. Until then, check out the sample video that Qik posted (see above). That is amazingly sharp video with what looks like full 30 frames per second (or a close approximation). The video I recorded using the Motorola/Android provided video recorder had a lot of aliasing and did not look anywhere close to 30 frames per second.
