Quora Shortens the Path Between Users and Questions They Can Answer

social networks, social networking, social mediaThe question-and-answer platform Quora rolled out changes to its user experience late last week to better deliver questions to users who may be able to answer them.

Users are now asked to add “Experience” topics to their profile page.

“Adding topics to this section will help tell us which questions you’re interested in answering,” the company said in a blog post.

Quora will display question on the Unanswered Questions page depending on which topics a particular user has selected. The page had relied on topics a user follows, which may not be things s/he already knows about.

The company will also consolidate onto the Unanswered Questions page any questions that have been specifically directed to the given user.

The Unanswered Questions page is available in the “Write” menu found at the right-hand side on the website. Quora’s latest iPhone and Android apps now also include the page. Mobile users can find it under the “Browse” tab.
