ReadRover Helps Children’s Book Authors Create Apps

Screen Shot 2013-09-23 at 6.25.40 PMRocksauce Studios, a Texas-based mobile development company, has introduced a new self-publishing plaform for children’s book authors called ReadRover.

Children’s book authors can use the platform to build children’s eBook apps, as well as to publish these titles in the App Store or in the ReadRover app. The platform supports multimedia elements — authors can record their own audio tracks. In addition, authors can use the platform to lay out their books. It costs authors $999-$2299 depending on what kind of services the author needs. The titles are available to readers online, as well as on Android and iOS apps.

ReadRover readers can also create customized audio for any of these books as well. These recordings can be used for entertainment as well as to track the progress of young readers.
