Real-Time Traffic Alerts on your Cellphone

Interactive mobile marketing firm HipCricket has teamed up with Clear Channel Radio’s Total Traffic Network for a new text traffic service.

The new service, called Real Time Traffic Alerts via Text Messaging, is “now available in 100 markets,” according to HipCricket.

Cellphone subscribers can customize the alerts to their location, and then receive them on a regular basis on their phones and computers for each day’s commute. The alerts will be advertiser-supported by local radio stations.
