Report: The New Look of Mobile UIs

Fierce Mobile Content has a special report that talks up five mobile user interface technologies that it expects to play a part in providing a better mobile experience. The report gives the iPhone credit for “vaulting the user interface to the forefront of the mobile Web experience” and then goes on to detail the up-and-coming competition, complete with demo videos for four of the five.

These hot, new UIs include: The Modu modular, multi-function handset that transforms into a different type of device depending on which jacket it’s wearing; Motorola’s ModeShift technology; Zeemote’s remote controller that gives mobile phones a near-console gameplay experience; the free Skyfire downloadable Windows Mobile browser and HTC’s TouchFLO interface.
