Nokia came under fire this past week when it was revealed that folks who purchase a mobile game from its N-Gage site lose the game if they upgrade to a new phone.

N_Gage-523.GIFIn response to all the uproar, the handset leader issued a statement saying, in part, that the copy protection in N-Gage games, and most other mobile games, links them to a single device.

However, Pocket Gamer reports, Nokia actually listened to its customers’ complaints.

In addition to apologizing for the confusion it created for consumers, Nokia said that it’s working on a solution that will let users transfer their N-Gage games to a new Nokia device. Not only that, but the company is working with its Care Centers to offer “an intermediate solution to enable the licensed transfers of games until a final solution is ready to be deployed.”
