Reuters announced a new management structure for multimedia operations under the leadership of former CNN and BBC News executive Chris Cramer. Cramer, who joined Reuters as global editor of Multimedia in September, will now oversee five editorial groups – television, pictures, Reuters financial video service, online and agency.
All groups will be led by senior editors who will report to Cramer.
“In preparation for a future where the news industry looks altogether different, we are increasingly making full use of multimedia which allows us to interact more deeply with our readers and viewers,” said Cramer in a release.
Cramer spent nearly 11 years as CNN International’s managing director. He retired in 2007.
