RightNetwork, which describes itself as “America’s first multiplatform entertainment company with a right-minded perspective,” will kick off its multiplatform launch Sept. 8 with political reality series Running.
REVISED 8/27 11 a.m.: The Web site launched in June, and the new series will help it to kick-start its mobile and television launches. The company added that it will announce carriage deals for its TV service next week.
Running follows eight first-time political candidates and how they balance their campaigns with their everyday lives. Some of these political rookies are aiming high, taking on established Washington icons including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and former presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
RightNetwork president and chief operating officer Kevin McFeeley said:
We wanted to present the personal side of candidates running for public office. What you’ll see are just regular people, trying to balance their everyday lives against the intensity of running for office. It’s surprising, entertaining and ultimately inspiring.
