UK consumers are cutting back on the number of ringtones and wallpaper images they’re downloading, at least from wireless carrier Orange.

According to the cellco’s latest quarterly Digital Media Index, more consumers are choosing to snap a picture with their phone’s camera and use it for wallpaper rather than pay to download one from the carrier, MocoNews reports. The total number of wallpaper downloads isn’t declining yet, but it was only up 3% in the fourth quarter.

Ringtones, meanwhile, aren’t doing nearly as well, as downloads fell 14.5% over the fourth quarter.

The good news from the carrier is that full-length music track downloads are on the rise, nearing 290,000 in December.
