iPhone_fourscreens_416(2).jpgYesterday it was rumor; today it’s fact: Rogers Wireless really, truly be selling the iPhone in Canada. Here’s Rogers Communications president and CEO Ted Rogers‘ complete official statement on the matter from early Tuesday morning:

“We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.”

Not very enlightening, is it? But, hey, at least we finally have confirmation. The Unofficial Apple Weblog reports that Apple and Rogers have been trying to work out a deal for about a year, since before Apple even launched the iPhone in the US.
