Salon.com executive news editor Mark Schone next month will take the helm as managing editor of ABCNews.com’s Blotter investigative web site.
From ABCNews.com’s Megan Chuchmach:
“Mark is a first-rate investigative reporter who has also proven himself to be one of the top editors working in online journalism today,” said (Brian) Ross, the ABC News chief investigative correspondent. “We are thrilled that he is joining our team.”
Schone said, “I am excited to be working with such an outstanding group.” And he added, “Brian and his team have set the industry standard for investigative reporting.”
What a lovefest in the making! Schone was responsible for all news content (including opinion and politics) at Salon.com, which he joined three years ago. He has written articles for major print publications and co-wrote Son of a Grifter: the Twisted Tale of Sante and Kenny Kimes.
