I’ve often mentioned here that I really enjoy using cameraphones to take photos (since they are usually the only camera I have with me). So, I took my newly acquired Droid out to check out its photo capabilities right after buying it on Saturday. I also took an iPhone 3G and Touch Pro2 (Windows Mobile) with me for some comparison photos. The photos below were all resized to be 420 pixels wide but are otherwise unmodified. You may note that each of the phones’ cameras have different aspect ratios (height to width) too.
If memory serves me correctly, the Touch Pro2 has the most accurate colors. However, some people may prefer the oversaturated look (very blue) of either the Droid or iPhone 3G. I think the overall quality of all three phones is adequate.
