The designer handset was a big concept in 2006 and 2007, but its star has faded recently—with one exception. Engadget has the scoop on a particularly stylish one: Samsung’s Armani Night Effect handset. The two companies (Samsung and Armani) just launched a promo Web site overseas to promote the new model, which features an OLED display, lots of LED accent lighting, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and 3G network support.
The report said that the handset will be released this November in Europe in both black and white motifs, with each one costing €300 ($439). Soon after that, the device will also be available in the Middle East and South East Asia. No word yet on a potential United States release.
