Scholastic Launches Clifford The Dog Campaign

Scholastic Media has launched a social media campaign to promote its Clifford the Big Red Dog franchise.

The publisher has been busy with the series as of late, recently launching a Clifford eBook app, a Clifford DVD, a Clifford Facebook app and even making deals to stage a Clifford musical.

The campaign is the third annual “Be Big in Your Community” contest and encourages fans to volunteer in their community and share their work for the chance to win up to $75,000 in community grants. American Family Insurance is sponsoring the contest conjunction and the HandsOn Network is acting as the national volunteerism agency.

To help bring the campaign to life, Scholastic will take the effort to events at six schools across the country on Valentine’s Day. There will also be a kick off event in New York, which will include a story time event on CBS led by “The Early Show” co-anchor Erica Hill.
