People in over 18 countries can now get their pressing queries satisfied, as Yahoo! Answers joins the company’s mobile search service, oneSearch.I don’t know about you but I often have more questions when I’m out and about opposed to when I’m relaxing at home. There’s something comforting about being stuck in the middle of nowhere and having the ability to tap into the knowledge of 95 million people spread across the globe.

Yahoo!, which already offers mobile headlines, images and business listings, will now cull their Answers franchise when a search is made for opinions or recommendations. Additionally, users will now also receive results pulled from Wikipedia.

yahoo_answres_mobile.jpgAnother oneSearch upgrade is the addition of flight information, including flight status, landing and departure times and gate 411.

oneSearch is aiming to provide you with instant answers by relying on an array of Yahoo! sources. The addition of Answers content, on top of weather, sports, games and driving directions should be a welcome addition to the burgeoning mobile space. Launched only in January of this year, it’s clear that the Yahoo! brass have high hopes for oneSearch.

A shiny new iPhone would be nice, but Yahoo’s mobile service works on most Web-accessible phones. Results are sent in a fashion that is optimized for mobile devices, not just Web links. Also, results are tailored specifically to your location.

Just go to m.yahoo.com on the mobile Web or text any search term to 92466 for results by SMS.
