Sprint announced a second combo 3G/4G wireless modem…
Sprint’s combo 3G/4G service provides access to their traditional 3G wireless data service as well as the newer Clear provide WiMAX 4G wireless data service. Sprint says their EVDO Rev A 3G network has a peak downstream speed of 3.1 Mbps (600Kbps to 1.4Mbps average) while the 4G WiMAX service peaks at 10Mbps (3 to 6Mbps average).
The U301 weights in at 1.25 ounces but is a bit on the long side at 3.5 inches (the antenna has to go somewhere!). It is compatible with both Microsoft Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
