According to a recent survey of 1,152 adults by LG, 77% of Americans are openly using their smartphones while in bed with another person. What’s even more sacrilegious, 48% of users are comfortable with using their smartphones in a place of worship. It certainly makes one feel that nothing is sacred, and everything is digital.

So now that the secret is out, what do you feel is the most profane, culturally inappropriate place or use for a smartphone? I’m particularly interested in hearing from those 35% using their smartphones to avoid talking to someone. Our recent Twitter question asked followers whether they thought using a phone on a date was appropriate. While most said no, this survey shows that 28% of users already do. Maybe, we need to re-share our etiquette infographic.
