Hi ThinkMobile readers - all the great mobile apps, devices and reviews are now a part of mediabistro's SocialTimes.com. Thanks for reading!

I continue to be amazed by all of the different ways that the iPad is being used, such as a musical instrument. Seline HD is a $5.99 app that turns the iPad into an electronic instrument. Music is played with two hands with an on-screen keyboard that plays an adjustable 16 note scale. The player has 20 built in voices such as flute, bowed strings, reeds, and more. Selien HD supports direct recording to .wav files and supports overdubbing so that complete orchestrations can be recorded.

As an example of how Seline HD sounds, a group called the iPad Orchestra has recorded a piece called “Sweet Dream” that you can watch in the following video. For more information about Seline HD check out the video at ipad-orchestra.com
