Ski Report App from REI Provides Free Ski Information

REI and Zumobi have teamed up to release REI Snow Report, a free application for the iPhone, Windows Mobile and Blackberry. The application provides instant information on ski conditions in the US, Canada and Europe, and connects users to REI’s website which features outdoor-related products and information.

The application provides information by ski resort, and contains data regarding temperature, new, top and base snow depth, snow conditions and the number of open lifts. Windows Mobile and Blackberry users can download the application from Zumobi’s website, while iPhone users can access the app through the App Store.

Zumobi, a Seattle-based company, has other applications such as the Pro Football app, which tracks NFL stats, and a local and national coverage NPR application.
