Skype for iPad is Available. Oops! It Disappeared

This has been the week of having mobile services and apps appear and then disappear. I noted earlier that iCloud was accessible using non-developer accounts for a short time. And, the long awaited Skype for iPad also decided to play a game of peek-a-boo.

Skype for iPad goes live, has video and audio calling over both 3G and WiFi (update: removed) (9to5Mac)

Skype Pulls iPad App, Saying It Was Released Prematurely

Skype make a public statement via Twitter that the app had gone live prematurely. An apology was made shortly after that acknowledging the eager anticipation by many people.

Perhaps the Facebook and Google+ iPad apps will also appear and disappear sometime this week to complete the trend.
