Slacker Radio Update To Allow Music Selection

Slacker Radio is one of the several streaming music services available for smartphones. Currently the service comes in free and paid options. You can use it to listen to programed music tracks that include advertising for free or you can pay $47.88 per year to download programmed music tracks to your phone and listen to them without advertising. Slacker Radio is similar to Pandora in that it allows you to select “stations” of music based on genre.

Zatz Not Funny is reporting that a new service is coming from Slacker that will allow users to specifically select the songs to listen to and download them to your phone. The service will be called Slacker Premium and will cost $9.99 per month, which is the same as a similar service from Rhapsody. Slacker works with all of the smartphone platforms and you can also play music using the service via a web browser on desktop computers.
