Figuring out what stores have the product you want and how to get there to buy it just got easier for BlackBerry owners. Slifter, a location-aware mobile shopping tool that has data on 300 million products at 150,000 retailers across the US, has come out with a BlackBerry version of its service.
With the free, downloadable app, BlackBerry users can search local store inventory, hot deals and promotions; see product info; save products and promotions in a mobile shopping list and share it all with friends. To find a product, shoppers just need to enter a keyword, product name, model number or UPC code. Slifter returns product availability, price, any relevant promotional info and detailed directions to the nearest store that has it in stock.
