Have you heard of the show Social Brew? Probably not. It was a Revision 3 show which was focused on social networking and according to Mashable, it has been shut down after only 4 episodes. When the show first launched I spoke with one of the people at Revision 3 and said that it appeared as though the show was targeted at a younger audience.

You can take a look for yourself below and let me know if you agree that it appears to be for young people. The biggest problem with the show in my own opinion was the lack of timeliness. They covered a few sites that have been around for a while on the show. It also appeared as though the host was trying a little too hard to make it look like they were having a fun time.

Online video is an extremely challenging space and even competing shows like WebbAlert have been posting extremely low numbers. Web video attracts its best numbers when a community following is built. Creating news video shows is extremely challenging without the community. Have any other ideas why the Social Brew video show got shut down?
