Jack Dorsey’s schedule just got even busier. Effective immediately, the Square CEO and Twitter co-founder is joining The Walt Disney Company’s board of directors. “Jack Dorsey is a talented entrepreneur who has helped create groundbreaking new businesses in the social media and commerce spaces,” said Robert A. Iger, Disney’s chairman and chief executive officer, in a statement on Monday. Iger explained that Dorsey’s forward-thinking perspective will prove “extremely valuable” given the company’s priorities, which include utilizing the latest technologies and platforms to expand the company’s reach. TechCrunch The company’s tech bets in the past few years have included the acquisition of gaming companies Tapulous and Playdom. But presumably Disney’s interest in technology goes beyond any one area of the company. Chen, and also Orin Smith, who was the president and CEO of Starbucks. As you may recall, Starbucks is a $25 million investor in Square, but this was after Smith’s reign at the top of its leadership — however, he still serves as the chairman of the Starbucks Foundation Board. Adweek Dorsey is replacing Judith Estrin, who won’t stand for re-election in 2014 because she reached the 15-year limit on board seats at Disney. Shareholders will vote on Dorsey’s appointment in March.

If you arrive at the airport and realize that you neglected to bring your driver’s license or another form of government-issued ID, your Facebook profile may be enough to get your on your flight, as Vimeo co-founder and DIY CEO Zach Klein discovered Sunday. Klein said via tweet, as reported by Mashable, that the Transportation Security Administration accepted his Facebook profile as proof of his identity, later tweeting a link to the TSA page that lists acceptable IDs.
