Facebook Chat Heads, Stickers Coming To iOS (AllFacebook)
Although Apple will likely not cede the iPhone’s home screen for Facebook Home, iOS users Tuesday got access to Chat Heads capability. Facebook announced that iPhone and iPad users had this update sometime Tuesday and would be able to use the company’s newest messaging feature. TIME/Techland While they look similar to their Android, um, ancestors, iOS’s Chat Heads only pop up when you’re using the Facebook app — in iOS, there’s no way to implement them everywhere in the operating system so that they show up no matter which app you’re using. Still, they should be a fun and useful addition. AllThingsD Other new features include “stickers” (everyone has to have stickers in their messaging app), as well as a new version of the iPad layout, which mirrors the version Facebook recently brought to the desktop News Feed. Twitter has been holding talks with Viacom and Comcast Corp’s NBC Universal, seeking to add more entertainment and news video that would stream within tweets directly on Twitter. Variety However, a source familiar with the discussions said the content from NBCU and Viacom would be short clips — not full-length episodes, a la Hulu. The potential deals would be similar to agreements the company already has with ESPN and Turner Broadcasting System, which embed video links in their Twitter feeds, the source said. GigaOM Such a move would make perfect sense considering Twitter’s current trajectory, as the company has worked to build up support for visual media and partnerships with companies in the television industry. Twitter has clearly realized that television and live broadcast events give the company a unique opportunity to harness online conversations happening at a particular moment and then serve up advertising based around those events.

SocialFlow Scores $10 Million in Series B Funding (SocialTimes)
SocialFlow, a social media marketing optimization company, has received a $10 million round in Series B funding, headed up by Fairhaven Capital, according to the New York City-based company. According to a news release from SocialFlow, it will use the additional funding to “accelerate its range and reach, expand its product portfolio and further develop its partner base as the market for intelligent social network engagement and analytics platforms expands.”

The Hunt, a Social Commerce Site, Draws Celebrity Interest (The New York Times/Bits Blog)
The Hunt is a shopping site where members upload photographs of items they want and ask the community of users to help them identify the item or similar ones. On Tuesday, the company announced it had raised an additional $700,000 in seed financing, led by a roster of celebrities and figures from the entertainment world, including Ashton Kutcher’s A-Grade investment firm and RedOne, the Grammy-winning producer behind Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez.
