Have you ever stopped to think about the differences in ways that people with different personality types interact with social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn? CPP, the exclusive publisher of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment (MBTI) has put together a great infographic revealing what your favorite social networks may say about your personality.
The ‘Myers-Briggs Type and Social Media’ infographic provides a brief look at the how Myers-Briggs 4-letter psychological types are assessed and then breaks things down by social network, revealing the percentage of each psychological type that uses Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Individuals with a preference for extraversion and intuition were more likely to use Facebook than those with a preference for introversion and/or sensing; individuals with a preference for extraversion, intuition and thinking reported using LinkedIn more often than those with a preference for introversion, sensing and/or feeling; and those with a preference for intuition were more likely to use Twitter than those with a preference for sensing.
Extraverted people were also, not surprisingly, more likely to interact, share information about their professional lives, collaborate and make recommendations on social networks.
