Someone at Twitter Finds Enrique Iglesias’ ‘Escape’ to Be Pretty Catchy

MaggieUtgoffTweet.jpgIf you have a personal Twitter account and a work-related Twitter account, odds are that you’ve mistakenly sent a Tweet from the wrong account, or feared doing so. The fear became a reality for Maggie Utgoff, a business analyst at the microblogging service who is one of several Contributors to have access to the Twitter corporate account.

According to Mashable, a since-removed Tweet on Twitter’s feed at about 7:45 p.m. Monday read, “I don’t know how Enrique Iglesias ended up in my iTunes but Escape is a catchy fuckin’ song! http://bit.ly/bcY3wm Sing, Enrique! Sing!”

While some may indeed find “Escape” to be a “catchy fuckin’ song,” that sentiment does not represent the opinion of Twitter management, and Mashable reported that Utgoff followed up on her personal Twitter account with the following Tweet: “I shouldn’t assume ALL of TWITTER appreciates the musical stylings of Enrique Iglesias the way I do.”
