Sorry, No TomTom GPS for Your iPod touch

Well, this is a hugely disappointing piece of news reported by AppleInsider…

TomTom Car Kit, navigation software will not work with iPod touch

I was certain that TomTom’s hardware GPS dock would work with the iPod touch and elevate the concept of the non-phone PDA (personal digital assistant) back to its rightful place. More importantly, this would help free ordinary consumers like you and me from contractual lockins that makes it hard to chase the latest cool mobile gadget. But, that is not going to happen. iPod touch-es are not going to be leading the way to your holiday shopping locations this year.
