Speaking of feature phone sales dropping while smartphone sales rise… Here’s an item from CNET…

Apple doubles its iPhone market share

It reports Gartner (again) numbers that show Apple’s iPhone marketshare of worldwide smartphone sales grew from 5.3% in Q1 2008 to 10.8% in Q1 2009.

RIM’s BlackBerry marketshare also grew an impressive amount: 13.3% in Q1 2008 to 19.9% in Q1 2009.

The current smartphone sales ranking stands at:

1. Nokia (41.2%)
2. RIM
3. Apple
