The amount of money companies spend on mobile search advertisements will hit $445 million this year, accounting for 34% of all mobile ad spend, according to Juniper Research. By 2013, the market researcher says, ad spend on mobile search will top $2 billion.
Total revenue from mobile search, including data charges, will reach $4.8 billion by 2013.
Overall, the mobile advertising market will rise from $1.3 billion in 2008 to an impressive $7.6 billion in 2013, Juniper forecasts.
The data come from two Juniper reports, “Mobile Search & Discovery: Opportunities and Markets 2008-2013″ and “Mobile Advertising: Delivery Channels, Strategies and Forecasts 2008-2013.”
