Spotify’s First TV Commercial to Air During ‘The Voice’

Tonight Spotify will air its first-ever television commercial during the premiere of NBC’s “The Voice.”

New York City agency Droga5 is behind the social, digital, and television campaign to introduce the digital music streaming service to a mass audience in the U.S.

In “For Music,” a crowd surfer is passed through a concert venue in slow motion while a voiceover declares, “music is a force for good, for change, for whatever.”

The commercial is the first in a series of 30 and 15-second TV spots designed to make viewers nostalgic as they remember a moment when music changed everything.

“Getting Weird” commemorates the time you got weird with your dance moves in a stranger’s apartment, while “Her Song” celebrates the memories attached to the special song that “reminds you of her.”
