I took a look at the free Spreaker Radio for iPhone app just a few weeks ago and came away reasonably impressed by its podcast recording service, features, ease of use and easy of sharing. A new 2.1 version update was just released and addresses one of the missing features I noted in my original commentary about it.
The enhancements in 2.1 are:
- Better integration with Facebook, choose which social networks to update your podcasts to
- Share what you’re listening to on Facebook, Twitter (only on iOS 5), and through your email
- Even easier for new users to login through Facebook
The missing feature I noted a few weeks ago is the ability to share a podcast via Twitter. Note, however, that this feature is tied to devices running iOS 5.
