TV Sitcom star Leah Remini, a cast member of “King of Queens,” will star in a series of “webisodes” (web-based videos) via a partnership with Suave, Sprint and MindShare Entertainment, according to MediaPost’s Online Media Daily list.
MSN will carry the series titled “In the Motherhood” from now through June, and it will also be available to Sprint TV mobile subscribers. The idea is that consumers who are mothers will submit their own ideas for scripts, and even do a little writing for the show.
As MediaPost reports, the characters and story lines are being developed by Hollywood scribes, but the material will come from consumers. It’s a new twist on how to get audiences more involved: “Integrated advertising” will instruct consumers to describe their experiences in narrative form, not as a script, at inthemotherhood.com.
