AppScout reports that Starz announced the launch of Vongo 2.0, the latest version of the cable network’s video-on-demand download service.
Blogger Brian Heater cut through the noise and found the big news: Vongo is now compatible with a number of Archos and Creative portable devices, including the Archos 405 and 605 WiFi and the Creative Zen, Zen Vision: M, and Zen Vision: W. Previously, the service was only compatible with Toshiba’s Gigabeat S and V series.
Vongo remains an enticing online movie offering that’s hampered by complex licensing agreements–like all other streamed services, including Netflix Watch Now. As a result, these services tend to offer just 1,000 to 1,200 movies at a time, as opposed to the more than 70k titles in Netflix’s rental catalog.
