Stephen Fry Reads for ‘The Wind in the Willows’ App

Author and actor Stephen Fry worked on a new app adapting The Wind in the Willows. You can download the app for free and read two chapters to explore the book. The rest of the book can be purchased within the app.

Fry provides an introduction before each chapter and reads parts of the story. His reading also includes “Ducks’ Ditty” and “Toad’s Last Little Song.” Here’s more from Fry:

How better to enjoy and bring to life the words and emotions of this wonderful tale of Toad and his mates, than by using the latest story-telling techniques. Images, animations, narration and music all combine on the iPad in a panoply of delightfulness! I can imagine Kenneth Grahame would have loved to discover his words tumbling off the page and his young readers being able to enjoy so much more “beyond the story.”
